Caught you,

BB2 has a beginning, a middle, and I can see the end but it'll need at least another 10k beyond the required 50. Needs lots and lots of editing for grammar and phrasing, cutting out the repetitions (one of my bad habits is saying the same thing in three different ways), taming dialogue that wanders off and has nothing to do with anything, and the rest of the joy that comes with a first draft. I always write a dirty first draft, so I know exactly what to expect - the usual horror, just way more of it *g*.
Everything's here that should be, and since I delete missteps and false starts as they happen, nothing's here that shouldn't be, except for a section that desperately needs a third character for balance. There's no time to go back and adjust scene after scene and write in dialogue and planning, so I stuck in track changes comments and it can wait till I edit. It won't change the content, just make it hold together better - an expansion, not a rewrite.
There's a chance Glorfindel may never forgive me for a certain little plot twist.

Plus, he owes you from that time and place *wink*
It sounds like you're having a good time, and I am glad. And as for the editing.... I do remember hearing that last year. The resulting BB I read then, was well done, so I know this one will be too. :-)

Date: 2012-11-27 17:22 (UTC)That all looks rather intimidating written down *g*.
I just managed to catch Rhapsody again last night but she'll be in the lead again when she updates. I think having someone to share the final week's chase with is the most fun part of NaNo - I'm loving it.

Loving every minute of it...

Date: 2012-11-26 20:08 (UTC)There's a special magic in a story that just keeps growing.
Hmmm yes, but it is starting to become epic at a point where I do start to wonder where it will end.
There's a chance Glorfindel may never forgive me for a certain little plot twist.
Tyelko just snorted, I swear. But no way he's going to end up in this current novel. Rangers only dude!

Date: 2012-11-27 16:41 (UTC)Epic is good :) It will end where it ends. Mine has the potential for a part three but I'm not listening!
I think I ended up about 120 words ahead of you. I don't know how much value part of that has to the story. I enjoyed writing it but it's a bit self indulgent and meant I still need to get to the point of the section. That would be tonight's work, yes :(

You're almost there. Well done! :o)

Date: 2012-11-27 16:29 (UTC)Thanks :) I have to write a bit under 10k in four days and then hope the site counts the same as Word did *whimper*

Date: 2012-11-28 06:11 (UTC)I'm greatly looking forward to BB2 and to hear that the end is in sight somewhere out there is marvelous!
I'm sure Glorfindel realizes he's suffering in a good cause.
