Yes, yes, I've been quiet about this. No excuses - we had family staying with us, there were other issues, but even so, main reason for the end result had to do with not forcibly carving out the time as I did before. Thanks to my cheerleaders for adding to the fun (yes it is fun, even if it hurts and even if you fail horribly) and thanks to Red for prodding me along the road.

My final NaNo count:
24069 / 50000
(48.14%)
Sort of half a NaNo? Like running a half marathon instead of the real thing?

Ah well, that's still 24K of Burning Bright 2 that wasn't here in October. I'll push it up to a full 25K today and then keep adding to it this month but right now it's forward with the Big Bang again. That's going to be a change of pace :D

Thank you :)

Oh I do know that feeling. Doing something new would be great, but the business of putting whole sentences together hurts!! It'll pass, lol. Make notes, write in February? Better yet, write in January -- http://slashy-santa.livejournal.com/66463.html

Whole sentences are not my friend right now. =D

Oo, I keep seeing links to that. ♥ I keep poking at the page, too, but (even if my fic-confidence wasn't dipping into the negative numbers right now) my skill at writing to request is shaky, at best. I'm so keeping an eye on the comm to read what comes out of it, though.

Have you been on the website yet? There's masses to read up there, it's been going since 2004.

Don't be hasty, you have almost two weeks to talk yourself into it *bright smile*. 2500 - 3000 words isn't too bad, and Red would be gentle, you being a new player and all (this is all about misery loving company, LOL)

Iiiii just spent far too long at the website, reading. Ha.

Talk myself into it or talk myself out of it? At this point I'm not sure which I'm trying to do. =D

LOL. Having other people who understand the flail is always a good thing.

I do promise to be gentle, I don't bite. *G* We're always looking for new writers. Like Kei said, I would definitely check out the Slashy Santa website (http://www.slashysanta.com/eFiction/).

It has a bunch of really great stories. Never know, could be inspiring. :)
