Fandom Snowflake
Jan. 5th, 2019 05:49Day 4 Comment to someone you haven't ever interacted with before or introduce yourself to someone you've interacted with and friend/follow them. Afterwards, leave a comment in this post with the equivalent of "I did it!"
Okay, I wouldn't friend someone just to fill a prompt and I usually comment if I like something anyhow, but I did start following someone on Tumblr tonight purely because I liked a post and looked at a few more and thought oh, she's interesting. And then thought 'ooh, Snowflake!':D

Date: 2019-01-05 15:05 (UTC)This. This "interact to somebody new"-prompt of the challenge is the one I've come to find annoying. No matter if I'm participating or not, each year in January on the day of this prompt or the following days, I get friended/subscribed to by at least one person I'm totally unfamiliar with. Now I don't mind meeting new people at all, but they never do more than just add/friend me. No comment or message anywhere, nor any other attempt on interaction, more often than not also no common fandoms or interests. I can only assume that they're really just wanting to fill their prompt. *rolls eyes*
On the other hand I think this challenge is a lovely means to honour those who really do reach out to others, and perhaps need the encouragement of a challenge to get over their shyness or so.
