TSS made it out on time, though that was a case of writing (rewriting) down to the wire. It's fluffy and sweet and makes me happy, mainly because in the end I just wrote something I wanted to read. And the giftee seems to have liked it, it has a decent amount of hits, it has a goodly number of kudos, and it has one comment --- from someone I'd not heard from in YEARS, which is amazingly cool! So that went from hair-tearing to a really nice experience.
I received a piece of e/g art that was even fluffier than my fic, and it is very sweet and soft and warm-looking. I had actually given it a like before I knew it was mine - Tumblr was messing with the artist and she had to tag me a second time. I think there is stuff the mods really need to tighten up on, but it is a swap with a lot of potential.
Got my MSV assignment. Red says of course I can write it, it's what I do. It's been a rough year, don't feel like writing is the thing I do atm, more like writing is the thing I bleed over? This is why I'm not officially doing the writer's meme that's going around. I don't think I've managed more than 40k this year, not sure what I'd answer to some of those questions, but if anyone who's seen it wants to throw a few at me I'll try and answer them.
Good lord, three posts in a week. Feast or famine.

Date: 2019-01-04 01:35 (UTC)3, favorite line/scene you wrote this year
....I'm not sure. There's things that are favourites at the time but then they go into the general pot of 'things that sort of worked'. But probably I'd pick the scene in the last chapter of Flamingo where Erestor comes and wakes Glorfindel in the middle of the night because he can't settle to sleep and they talk and finally curl up together and go to sleep - sex would have been so predictable but no sex was way more intimate and I could see and hear them so clearly. And everything about Touching Tomorrow because it was a fic that waited a long time to be written.
4, total number of words you wrote this year
Oh, and I thought it was 40k? No, no. This was my slowest year since I started writing fan fiction for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with fandom. Um, 33,114. Yes, I can do better, a lot better.
12 favorite character to write about this year
I love my OCs in Flamingo - Elen, the Avari, Raina. Otherwise, Glorfindel. Have spent most of my writing time in his head - just how it's worked out. I do miss Gil-galad though, he's just shown up as a kind of peripheral secondary character in Flamingo and has no place in the others.
26 number of favorites/bookmarks you made this year
That's probably only around 15 altogether but I don't have the energy to check. I need to do a lot better, and will be trying this year.
Oooh, and I forgot to thank you for your gorgeous Christmas card that even got here before Christmas - no one else's did. Absolutely love it, will be sad to put it away.
