I've done days 4, 5 and 6 before (more than once) and have nothing new to add. On to...

Day 7:

It's January, we're all busy, I've been less visible in 2017 - checked in every day, but quiet a lot of the time - so if you don't want to leave lurve here, I understand. Though I will do better this year. No, this time I mean it! But if you'd like to, you would make me smile and make packing up and throwing out a little less dire. Moving in the middle of an African summer is not fun.

Thank you! It's at the nightmare stage where there isn't a single tidy space in the house. I'm not scared of a little chaos but this is overwhelming me a bit.

I made a mistake with Flamingo, I let myself be persuaded to explore avenues that weren't in my original idea and for a while it stopped feeling like 'my' fic, if that makes sense? But you can't just stop halfway through a gift so I've pushed on to where I feel there's solid ground under my feet again (just in time for the height of summer when finding the energy to write is hard work, of course).
