Day 2:
In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

One of the special memories from my early Tolkien fandom days (2004) was discovering Misfits by Kharessa Bloodrose. I loved it so much I actually rationed myself to a chapter a night, it became the way I ended my evening (bedtime story, yes). It was Haldir/Melpomaen, which idea would make me blink hard now. Kharessa was a great storyteller who created fanon, set trends, formed ideas. Her Storm Kiss series is amongst the earliest Erestor/Glorfindel concepts. It reads like a cliche now in many parts until you remember SHE DID IT FIRST.

No idea where she is now, she hopped fandoms and then vanished off my radar, but I hope by now she's a published author because damn, she should be!
