Title: The Pink Flamingo
Chapter: 7/?
Featuring: Erestor/Glorfindel, Elrond, various OCs
Rating (if you worry about such things): currently pg-13. Later, who knows?
Beta: as ever, Red Lasbelin.
Summary: Glorfindel's posting to Imladris should have been straightforward, a way for him to integrate into life in the Second Age while giving Elrond some much-needed assistance. None of that took into account the proprietor of the local house of ill repute, or the presence of a suspected arsonist.
A/note: They're back!

Date: 2016-07-17 04:10 (UTC)So I really enjoyed this chapter but it totally got my hackles up. I am totally suspicious of this Denesion character. It started with Glorfindel's visit with him and it built through the whole chapter to a blossoming thing. I am not going to ask you if he is the arsonist but I think he took Alassea (sp).
I love that Glorfindel bought a gift for Erestor. He is crushing big time and just does not get that he is. He won't admit it yet to himself. CRUSH.
Anyways. Great chapter. Denesion's creepiness was very well done. It was subtle.
More, please!

So glad you're still enjoying this - thank you :)

(I like Santana, too!)

Date: 2016-07-19 02:04 (UTC)I like that Elen got a birthday party, there are people who care a lot about this over serious, chasing after justice, literal girl. And that she liked her earrings - sensible girls can like pretty things too, yes. I like that Glorfindel thought of this, didn't just go very sensible and probably work related. Though she seems like a girl who would like a fresh notebook.
Glorfindel is getting a little better at dealing with Erestor - yes, Erestor likes to tease - though clearly his curiosity has only grown. That's a slow burn. Erestor in pearls, too...Like that image. And Erestor's helpful, trying to be, though they don't have too many pieces to go on yet.
Glad you recovered from the Manflu, dear. You need to write more though, I need to find out where Alassëa is. (I am caring friend, yes.) Also still think Gil should get a cameo, I would die.
Are you trying to distract us with Denesion though, this is my question. :|

Date: 2016-07-21 02:50 (UTC)Erestor was meant to be in moonstones (an old choice of mine) but the pearls spoke to me. And yes, he likes to tease Glorfindel, who I think he's starting to read quite well. Glorfindel on the other hand is still a bit clueless.
I have to alternate writing the next chapter with the Big Bang. My brain is going to fry!
