Not doing Day 8. The names on my f-list are all of people whose journals I read and whose lives I'm interested in, no random additions.

Day 9 - in your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.
Okay. I WILL:
finish ANSWERS IN THE DARK. Needs another 8 to 10 chapters. And I will not let the difficult thread make me cry again. It is not the boss of me.
take on [livejournal.com profile] kenazfiction's challenge to write something every day. (wonder if Snowflakes count? *g*)
be more patient and keep my sense of humour. Life is short.
not get in a situation where I am stretched too thin again. Make sure there's time to enjoy playing in this particular sandpit.

All right, that's more than enough :D

I love your goals! But aww...*hugs* Don't let a story thread make you cry! Erm..I get depressed and give up before finally going back to hack at them myself, but I love "It is not the boss of me"!! :D True!

Remember that.

I think that writing anything counts. It's words, it gets your mind going and gears moving and I know for me when I withdraw and am silent I get very little done. When I venture out, reach out and engage, I feel better and get more done.

For the little it's worth, those are my thoughts. :)

I have also heard that writing something/anything every single day keeps the right mental muscles toned. But writing a load of crap every day like I do does not finish stories!!

I do think that writing constantly makes it easier to write. Business/legal/extremely precise non-fiction writing, which I did every day for years, is not very good practice for writing fiction.

So - do something, anything, instead of thinking about doing it and then being disappointed in yourself when you don't get anywhere? Yeah, I hear that :D I'm really going to try and run with it this year. I always feel better when I'm writing than when I'm not.

I'm glad you're back. I miss you when you need to leave.

Not nearly enough :( Hey, you'll finish the MDV at least, and then maybe go look at that fic you keep meaning to finish...?

Those are some really good goals, dear. And you should do all of them, the quality of your life will be better for it. (Yes, even Answers.)
