Day 2 - In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.

Comments are always wonderful, as is fan art - maybe something illustrating a scene in Even Quicker Than Doubt? An icon that fits my Answers Glorfindel would also make me happy. Heh, no idea why I find this so hard to answer, guess it just feels odd to ask for gifts.

Red's been making a banner for it for ages but we can never decide what it needs, and I have inspiration art still from back then, but I've always wished it had a little fanart.

The idea is there... I just need to have my muse more nourished. Poor thing is still sneezing from all the dusty invoices. I exaggerate but you get the picture. ;)

I wanted to do LoM's Twelfth Night challenge but right now my muses seem to be passed out in the corner with an empty vodka bottle.

This is a hard challenge because, as you say, it feels odd to ask for stuff. That's the great thing about a challenge like this though, it gives you the opportunity to share what you want and most of the time you find out other people want the same but hate to ask.

I wish I could do the fan art thing. So many great stories could use that visual punch that artwork provides. And of course it always feels good that someone is inspired enough by a story to attempt to depict it.

I got some stunning fanart at the end of a story once from someone I'd had no idea was even reading it, and I'll never forget how that made me feel. I'd love to be able to pay that forward. I have an art background, but that kind of illustration isn't my strength sadly.

What a nice surprise! That would be awesome. I had someone recently make banners for a couple of my stories and it was a nice treat. Fandom folks can be so generous.

I didn't know you were an artist as well as a writer. You're multi-talented.

I wish I could draw or paint decent enough for fanart! I'd be happy to make you a banner or three, as always. I would also offer to give the icon a go, though I haven't read Answers yet (I wanted to read BB1 again before I started). Do you already have a certain image of that Glorfindel in mind?

No, I don't have a Glorfindel image, I wish someone could find one as I know exactly how he should look. In BB and Answers he's not quite like Glorfindel in anything else I write somehow. Wish I could do good illustrations too, there's several people I'd have done fanart for if that was my strength. Someone gave me art for Conversations after I posted the last chapter, and I still remember how great that felt, specially as it was such a surprise. That Glorfindel sitting in his tent writing to Erestor is still my all-time favourite piece of fanart anywhere!
