keilissAnd the strange weather continues. Gauteng province, including Johannesburg, has snow - the real thing, not something that melts as it hits the ground. Not much work getting done up there, they're all out of their offices having a look. They've had to close a major pass though, because there's ice on the road. Apparently the last time they saw this much snow up there was in the 80s (okay, 'this much' is relative, we're talking no more than a couple inches, of course *g*)
It's all over the mountains down here and the air's so cold it bites even in the sun. We seem to be having a proper winter. Suits me, I'm a winter person :)
Added: and apparently this is the first time on record that all nine provinces had snow falling somewhere on the same day. Yes indeedy, the Mayans were right!!

I grew up in snow (where Erulisse lives), but I haven't been in a place with snow in about 12 years. I kind of miss it.
