keilissHappy New Year everyone. Hoping 2012 brings you all luck, health, inspiration, friendship and love. Better than 2011 would work fine for me and several others I know, too.
I am all MEFAd out. My review total is embarrassingly tiny, only 25% of my goal, but I found a couple of really good fics that I didn't have time to do justice to and have a list to read in the next few weeks because they appealed to me or reviews I've read have piqued my interest. I've missed several (more than several) stories by people on my flist and I'm so sorry for that. They're on my wish list, but I just plain ran out of time. Not sure where I went wrong --- ooohhh yes: o r g a n i s a t i o n!
Doing the final run through on my lotr_gen community Yule fic. It's due in a couple of hours - this is me, yes. I hope the recipient likes it, even though I've used her prompt a little loosely. I was late getting to it because I had to finish the BigBang first, but working on it has been like a reward, it's a story that surprised me and was a a lot of fun to write. Been a while since I've felt like this, lately it's been more along the blood, sweat and tears line, lol.
I have a lovely fireworks icon which I planned to load and use for this post, but after seeing how they terrorised my dog tonight, I'm right off them. Sticking with good red wine.

Date: 2012-01-01 04:54 (UTC)Thanks for the lovely reviews :) That's a good total, way better than mine. I signed up to do 75 (don't laugh!) and no, I didn't get anywhere near there. Next year I'll set my sights lower and not assume I'll magically have nothing to do but read in December.
I heartily dislike the new MEFA site for all sorts of reasons. I just discovered how to reply to reviews purely by accident. Next to the title of the fic being reviewed is a little button offering you more information about said fic. Click that and it brings up all the reviews for it plus a reply to reviewer link.
Swaps? Ha. Seems I got a friendship fic because my writer just cannot write slash. I'm still thinking about this. I overdid it last year. This time I'll do Slashy Valentine mainly because I had to skip Ardor in August and then I'm settling down with Burning Bright 2 (I'm about half way) and letting everything else go past.

I feel terrible for all the authors on my wishlist who I never reviewed. I wish I hadn't accepted my nomination now, but hindsight is a wonderful thing *sigh*
May 2012 indeed be a better year than 2011!
