 Shhh, pretend it's still Thursday.

DAY 6: 10 items you can’t live without
The 'absolutely can't' would be food and water, but there are the things I'd be really, really unhappy without.

1. cellphone: my life is in there - phone numbers, email addys, birthdays, notes, time and date, plus I use it as an alarm clock...
2. mascara: THERE IS NO LIFE WITHOUT MASCARA
3. earrings: no earings = naked.
4. computer: writing, reading, talking, information - do I have to explain this?
5. the little beaten brass ring my uncle made for my mom when they were both kids in junior school, which she kept all her life and which I always wear.
6. charm bag (crystals, couple of runes): either wear it or carry it with me.
7. fresh flowers: must have flowers in the house
8. books: I don't understand people who don't need to be surrounded by books
9. laughter: because without it you grow old fast
10. bras that fit properly, do what they're meant to and are comfortable - all at the same time.(so what gives you the idea I'm gearing up to go bra shopping?)

DAY 1: 10 things about you
DAY 2: 10 things you love
DAY 3: 10 things you hate.,
DAY 4: 10 things you want to say to one person
DAY 5: 10 wishes
DAY 6: 10 items you can’t live without
DAY 7: 10 important people
DAY 8: 10 of your favorite songs
DAY 9: 10 ways to win your heart
DAY 10: Final 10 words.

I like this list a lot. I share a lot of these. I made a huge downsizing move about a year ago, from a great rambling apartment of my own, into a lovely room in the apartment that I helped Laura, Gabe and Baby Fingon find (I'm the tenant and they are the housekeepers now, which is quite a dramatic switch). I was really amazed at the stuff that I can actually not just live without, but but which was absolutely liberating to leave behind.

If I were to do this list, I would still have have to add a few of the picture/prints and paintings that I did keep and some fewer tchotchkes or gewgaws I have picked up over the years, mainly on travels to exotic (for me at least) places.

When we moved a little over three years ago, I had boxes of books, a small box with two files and things related to my computer, another one with bits and pieces I've picked up or been given plus my mom's jewellery box with all my junk in, my make up bag, my art supplies and clothes. Then I watched my husband try and clear out all his stuff from the garage :D That was an eye opener. We know who the hoarder is in this house! Actually neither of my girls are very materialistic either, which is kind of cool. I think it must be hard to be tied down by 'things'.

Of course I could have added the Venetian glass clowns we got at a house auction and the painting of the beach in moonlight that really looks like a murder scene and my clown painting.... but those are 'loves' rather than 'must haves'

fresh flowers: must have flowers in the house

I have some nice daffodils right now. Very pretty. They match my kitchen.

I love daffys. I think I might try and grow them this year.

No earrings = naked - Hmmm... lucky I have lost weight lol I cannot wear earrings. It seems any metal inflames my ears. I do not seem to have the problem anywhere else though.

I like your list :D

Hugs Binky xx

My eldest can only wear gold (lucky her), everything else is a problem. I can put any rubbish in my ears, which is just as well as I have a lot of that :D

And thanks *hugs* :)

Good luck with the bra shopping! I always find that no matter how perfectly a bra fits in the shop, it's always mutated into a cruel torture device by the time I get it home :(

Oh, and I totally agree about the mascara!

*hugs*

It takes me weeks to get myself off to the shops to buy bras. It's such a thankless, confidence destroying, depressing exercise and as you say, you're never satisfied in the end.

*hugs*
