Deleted, started over.

I have no idea really what I'm doing or where we're going and it's all Red's muse's fault anyhow for suggesting something I would never normally think of writing because of the risk of it making sense to no one except me. Having a lovely time, just don't get the feeling I'm in control here :D

Other news. Man had flu, was quite sick and was a true Man about it. He doesn't get sick often, so when he does he has no idea how to behave :| Dog's summer skin allergy came back, had to go visit the vet. I was feeling Guilt because I thought it was from fleas but he doesn't have any and the vet has decided it's a thing that happens in hot weather to elderly dogs with thick coats. Dog now has a shaved patch just above his tail and knows he looks stupid.

There was more, but I think I might be all worded out for tonight, lol!

**twitches** 2,357 words and searching desperately for a non-graphic sex scene with an angry elf closing in fast.

Have completely lost control. :P

Hope the headache and the Man both get better soon!

**loves**

ETA - And the poor puppy, too. One of my cats had a shaved butt once. Not a good look for any self-respecting species!

I think the poor dog knows the cats are laughing at him :(

I hate that point where you now have to produce a sex scene, whether the mood is there or not. You could always threaten them with Write or Die....

Your PM -- lord, it doesn't stop, does it? *huggles tight*

In the instant after you mentioned your dog's summer allergies returning, I was really confused. I was like, "summer allergies?? but it's snowing!" It wasn't so much that I had forgotten that you lived in another hemisphere, more that I forgot we had opposite seasons. Why did I share this? I don't know. Men are not good at being ill. I think it's genetic. All the women I know just suck it up.

Floods in the north of the country, heat wave down here - yep, it's summer. I'm quite envious when I read about snow and low, low temperatures on the other side of the world, lol.

I did some pretty solid writing because I had time for myself for once, but I'm a bit worried I'll slow down now. Can't afford to, I have way too much editing to do when the first draft is done, lol.

When a man is ill his family suffer along with him. Hope he is fully recovered now.

I once knew a man, whom we all thought was a shilling short of a pound, who used to shave his thick coated dogs in the summer. They looked strange but did not seem to concerned about it.

Hugs Binky xx

He's back at work today *fingers crossed*

The vet reckons dogs sweat in the heat and if the fur is too dense the moisture gets trapped against the skin. Then they itch, they scratch, and as soon as there's a scraped area on the skin, bacteria starts to breed. Makes sense. I plan to brush him every day once the fur starts growing back, see if that helps. It was a darn expensive visit :(

You're making great progress, although is it my imagination or have you upped your target? I thought it was 7000 before!

Poor dog - can't be a good look :(

Heh. There is no way it'll wind itself up in another 3000 words, so I figured I'd give it 10 000 and edit down to around 7000, which is a nice, sensible size for a swap fic. Lots and lots of unnecessary extra words in here :D That's the plan, anyhow.

Poor dog looks very unsavoury right now, lol.

I think its cool that you are in summer and I am in winter :) Tim is the same way when he gets sick - its the end of the world, lol, but when I'm sick its like 'what you aren't cooking dinner?' typical, lol.

I know, what is it with men? It's a joke that we've been called the 'weaker sex' - I'd like to see one of them in the kitchen cooking dinner with a temperature of 102 :|

You can send some snow my way if you're tired of it *g* Summer is vastly over-rated!

Hope your hubby feels better soon. And your dog too.

You've deleted, started over, and have over 4000 words? That's impressive! I've been plugging away at mine almost from the time I got my assignment and I have just over 3000. *glares at muse again*

I had this really enthusiastic muse who prodded me along gleefully and the words just flowed. Then I had a short break, came back, found the muse had departed (Caribbean island or some such destination probably) and I had no idea what I was meant to do next. That is where I find myself today *g. When I'm finished on LJ I need to open the fic and try get it moving again. Time is growing short *whimper*

*hugs*
