Half time score
: England 1 - 1 USA

Becks looks adorable when he's pensive. Or is that worried?

Or angry at Green. Poor Green! He was all red-faced as if he were about to cry.

Lol, I felt bad for him. He certainly worked his butt off for the rest of the match.

Yeah, and I really wished UK won just because of Green. Well, US played better than expected, so 1:1 is fair.

It sounds like hundreds of bees droning in the background...

And I agree with silver_trails... poor Green! I may be rooting for US, but... ouch!

But isn't the grass they're playing on beautiful? And it holds up so well. It created in my hometown specially for the World Cup. Eventually it will be available for homes everywhere... LOL What can I say? We're the grass-seed capital of the world!

The grass is gorgeous! I heard there was some special seed, but I didn't take it in at the time. Did they use it in all the stadiums? Because Green Point also looked stunning.

Yeah, they used it for all the stadiums. Some special blend of six different grasses, if I recall correctly. Our news people sounded so proud... "We have a winner in every game! Just look at that beautiful grass!" Ooookies...LOL I guess we all have to have something to be proud of. :D

Good game though. Glad it ended as a tie. I agree, England was better. Their plays seemed smoother... less chaotic. But I really enjoyed watching Howard. Did a good job keeping the balls out.

They had a close up of one of the goalkeepers kicking the ball at Green Point. A few blades of grass came away with it but otherwise there wasn't a mark -- lovely, tough, springy, green stuff. They've reason to be proud :D

I can hardly bear to look... poor Becks, he probably want to get out there and score himself!

He must have been soooo frustrated.

Not sure I could have watched the last half hour if it had been my team, and I thought England were damn unlucky.

I can't bring myself to watch the match. I'm just checking on the score every now and again...

Heh, been there *g*. And I really think England were a bit unlucky, they were definitely the better team, I thought.
