Like to say thank you very much to Jane (
phyncke) for proofreading and offering some very helpful suggestions on the piece I submitted last month to the national short story competition -- I mentioned it a few weeks back? Husband made me do it? Really never expected it to get anywhere, specially as it's ages since I've written OFic, so when I found I was in the final 25 I was really thrilled. Top 10 was exciting and was way more than I expected, but today they posted the final results and my story received 3rd place. I can't quite take this in, lol.
