Finally realised I posted my SS fic on the LJ comm but not on my own journal (!!!!) No idea why. I get email notification of comments, I go over there, I reply, I don't think further.... I put it down to the end of the holidays. Once more, thank you for the request, Agie - despite all the angsting, whining, crying, and cursing, somehow this turned into a story that's very special to me.
Jane implies it is in fact BECAUSE of those things, and that this is my Process :|
I was going to make a couple of late SS recs, but that's a bit like saying 'this is good, this is rubbish', when in fact there is nothing on that site that I'd call rubbish - some wonderful fics this time. Particular mention: Uli's gem, Kenaz's beautifully-written response to my request, IgnobleBard's amazing tale set in the mists of elven history, and Binky's utterly adorable Haldir/Erestor otter fic. For the rest, go here: http://www.geocities.com/slashysanta/index.html

Date: 2008-01-07 20:08 (UTC)The pain and misery happen while I try and dig out an idea that addresses the request in a way that I can see and hear - because otherwise I can't write it. Usually works best when I stop worrying about getting the prompts to fit the way I imagine the recipient wants them to look.
And - thank you for being so complimentary about the story :)
You're not online --- you still there? Hope everything's okay. Tomorrow? Going to beat Tuxie?
*hugs you*
