South Africa 30 ~ 25 Tonga.

Who'd have thought??!
Tongan team really impressed - we were lucky they ran out of time :|
Monty got his 90th cap - the most capped Springbok evah - and celebrated by missing a kick. He's not blonde for nothing.
Skinstat scored... lordie....

Hon, this world cup is the first sign of national unity in ages. Not a sport - national honour :|

And the two gentlemen mentioned used to play for the local team - it is my duty to cut them down to size.

Heh I missed the game. I really wished I hadn't but all the saturday games were missed due to travelling to do shopping and spoil ourselves so at least it was for a good reason ;)

:| If you want to avoid watcing painful games avoid watching the Ireland ones. Damned team has the players, they have the talent, really... they just seem to have lost it sometime during the summer.

Most anticipated game this World Cup. NZ vs SA :D!

Irish team sounds like the Springboks at the last Cup - great team on paper, just never gelled. The game against Tonga could have been a total mess - Jake started with the second team, but fortunately he had the sense to put first team players on the bench... We were over-confident, and it showed. I think our first team is really good, they're playing like a team, but we lack depth so we have a lot of worry about injuries ... my thought anyway.

I got your offlines, but never seem to get on when you're here :( Thanks so much for the kind words about Changes, it was lovely to find that offline - and about Doubt, I'm so flattered that you gave it a second read *hugs*. I just rather hope you read the first and eighth chapters on the website, not on OEAM. When you mentioned having to use the archive for part of it, I suddenly remembered I'd done small but telling edits on those two chapters and that was the one place I hadn't made the substitution... I must remember to send them with a begging email to Buttercup.

Hope all's well with you, dear.

*hugs!!!*

Glad you got the offlines! I was about to email to make sure since my messenger has been really freaky lately. Doubt is a fantastic fic and deserves all the praise it gets and yes I did read the first few chapters at OEAM (although you have a few chapters where some text has been double posted on your journal)

The Irish team ha played together for years and they are still falling apart *sulks at them* Usually O'Gara is such an amazing kicker but in this Cup he fails to find touch and convert tries and get penalties, now imo taking him off when he doesn;t perform and letting their other kicker get a chance would be an idea but their stupud manager has disagreed in the last 4 games... bastard :P

Now I just need to ignore the S S signups for another few days before I do someting silly like sign up... :|

Otherwise things are good, health improving and all

*hugs*

Yes, the Irish team sounds exactly like ours last time... right down to unresponsive management. Good luck for the weekend.

Totally agree with your offline rant. I felt like commenting that there's a vast difference between quantity and quality :|

The double text - can you give me chapter numbers or some idea of whereabouts they were? And was this LJ or my website?

Hope you and Baby are doing okay?

*hugs you*

aaaaaand O'Gara is named starting for this weekend too *headdesk* thank you for the good luck wishes, we are going to need them to make even a half graceful exit out of the cup this year. No way we wil do waht is needed to go through. *sulks*

Heh I had a long rant about quality and quantity and the smugness of people that think themselv gifted planned last night.... probably just as well I enver posted it. I also had a nother much more general polite post in my head about participating in events gracefully and saying thank you forthings even if they may not be to your taste :P Never psoted that either but it is still under consideration.

I'll look up the chapters tomorrow, I know one is chapter 16 but i forgot to note through the other ones so I get back to you on those. It was on the website after my browser decided that there was nothing wrong with it after all :)

Baby is doing great and taking great joy in kicing and punching me every few minutes (I swear it enver sleeps!) I am having bp problems again and am sulking about that, I am hoping that they are just because of a slight tummy flu/cold but I will have to wait and see. In the meantime I am back on the stupid sofa being bored.

Hope everything is good down there! And I will enjoy watching your boys this weekend of course :)

*hugs you*
