Things you ENJOY even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, then post it on your journal THEN tag 5 friends and ask them to post it on theirs

1) drawing with charcoal - I can play for hours.
2) reading - anything and everything.
3) writing - yes, I really do that to relax.
4) listening to music - you know, really listening, not just having it on in the background,. but putting on headphones, shutting out the rest of the world and listening.
5) walking my dog - it's great - you don't go anywhere in particular, but you walk pretty fast and you're with someone who thinks you're wonderful and wherever you want to go is PERFECT.
6) shopping - does shopping count? I love street markets, anywhere you can find unusual things, second-hand bookstores......

Not only did you shock me by doing this but I didn't know you had a dog :)

I posted this one earlier so here's my list.

* Reading - either a new book or one I've read a hundred times
* Take a nice long, hot bubble bath - Bath & Body Works Moonlight Path
* Reading friends entries and commenting on lj/ Reading what others wrote in my lj
* Drink a cup of coffee and have a cigarette (Well it does lower my stress level at work)
* Listen to music - mostly Dave, Tori, and lately some Lorena McKennitt I downloaded
* Play with the cats and the rabbits

Ooh, sorry, should have checked if you'd already done it.
I love my dog :) We also currently have three cats, a cockatiel, and a rotating rodent population.

Mouse. Mouse dies. Hamster. Hamster dies. New mouse. New mouse dies. Rat. Rat, sadly, dies. Hamsters. Hamsters breed and are relocated to petshop. New rat.........get the picture? And no, I am NOT the Death of Rodents. That honour goes to another member of the family.

I love doing number 4, so relaxing, close your eyes and let the music wash right through to your soul. I love classical music for that kind of listening, no words just the music and my imagination.
