snowflake 2016: day 7

Day 7 - In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much

So many – there are books I’ve read way more than anything by Tolkien, a tv series I loved, but I’ve been running with Tolkien, the only fandom I currently create in, and of all the many possibilities I’ve picked the piece below the cut, something I've read over and over for its power and imagery, especially the final paragraph. If possible, try and read it aloud. Some passages just work best that way.

snowflake 2016: day 8 and 9

Not doing Day 8. The names on my f-list are all of people whose journals I read and whose lives I'm interested in, no random additions.




Day 9 - in your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.
Okay. I WILL:
finish ANSWERS IN THE DARK. Needs another 8 to 10 chapters. And I will not let the difficult thread make me cry again. It is not the boss of me.
take on kenazfiction's challenge to write something every day. (wonder if Snowflakes count? *g*)
be more patient and keep my sense of humour. Life is short.
not get in a situation where I am stretched too thin again. Make sure there's time to enjoy playing in this particular sandpit.
