It seems the TSS is meant to be posted by 1pm my time. Silly me, I assumed it didn't matter when, as long as you got it up on the 24th. I don't think I'll be home before late afternoon (with luck). It does not help that I scrapped the other rubbish and wrote a bit over 2k in the last two days and am still cleaning it up. And I have never posted a fic on Tumblr, just a link, and still have to figure out how that works.

Fandom = never boring. Lord, I have such a headache!

Oh gods, I have to give this a title!!!!

All I know about posting fic on tumblr (from a good friend) is that you need to put the 5 most important tags first as these will be found in the search algorithms / be displayed at first sight (or whatever), so people can make informed decisions about reading.
Best of luck!! ♥ I'd go bonkers if I had to think about posting anything right now, I'm running around like crazy to take care of unexpected last-minute stuff. And to think we won't go out except for church, won't have guests, and this is supposed a relaxed and laid-back Christmas eve... ;o) (At least my headache went away after a couple of cups of tea. Hope yours is gone soon, too! *hugs* )

Tea sounds like a wonderful idea!

I followed Indy's example and linked to my Ao3 post instead and tagged it on tumblr as they explained in the mod post (well, I assume I did it right anyhow). It only took three tries to get the in-post tags sorted out, lol!

We're having Christmas lunch at my niece's house, and for the first time in years I'm not required to cook anything. I think not being in the kitchen at this point has made it hard to accept Christmas is TOMORROW.

I gave up and only posted now. She's either in France or Italy, so I'm sure she wouldn't be wondering about it for a few more hours. I think the mods were maybe being just a bit over-cautious there.

My biggest problem was understanding it was due TODAY - I am in denial about tomorrow being Christmas, which makes no sense as we have a tree and plans for a family dinner.

I posted when it's convenient to me aka I'm just about to because I just woke up, which is a couple of hours past the deadline. (I did tell my recipient it would be up in the morning my time while being careful to not specify an exact time.)

I also flatly refuse to post the fic itself on Tumblr, so I'm just linking to it.

Edit: also, it's an hour and a half past time and given I'm not tagged in anything yet, I'm assuming you and I aren't the only ones doing it when it's convenient for us and not the odd time the mods suggested.

Heh, I was already tempted to just put it on Ao3 and link and you convinced me. Thanks :D Hate the idea of fic posting on Tumblr, always have.

I haven't been tagged as yet either and a scroll through the Tumblr tag and the Ao3 collection suggests the majority are posting when it works for them/their giftee. It makes sense that if you live in NYC and your giftee lives in LA, you won't be dragging yourself out of bed at 6 am to post!

I haven't even scrolled through the tag or Tumblr collection; I didn't think about doing that. Though honestly I have no idea where my giftee lives; the only thing I know is that they're not American due to how they spelled a word (with an "ou" instead of an "o").
