From the Years of the Trees through the Fourth Age – it’s time once again to make your Tolkien FPS fanfic dreams come true…



Sign ups for next February's MSV have already been open for a week, and you have not yet signed up --- why? Go and sign up! This is how we spread the fandom love. Go ask for that rare pairing you've always wanted to read, but somehow no one sees their potential the way you do. Or an old favourite you haven't seen around in a while. Or the current fashionable 'ship - whatever makes you happy.

Suffering is (supposed to be) good for the soul. Time to stretch those writer's muscles.

Important Dates:

Sign-up Period: December 3rd to December 17th
Assignments distributed by December 27th

Deadline for first time participants: January 31st
Deadline for veterans: February 7th

Archive opens: February 14th, 2018

Originally, I'd planned to just sign up for a pinch-hit, as I've amassed so many unfinished WIPs, and never seem to get around to work for a longer stretch on my major WIP. But then, missing out on the one regular event of my fannish life? And then, I used NaNo this year also to improve on my writing discipline which went well enough at least during NaNo. So I'm in again (though yet have to sign up) and will find out if I can work at two stories in the same time. *g*

Aw, I'm so glad you're signing up. People get busy this time of year and sometimes miss the posts. I look forward to reading whatever it is you get to write :)

I've always admired the things that people write for MSV so I'm terribly excited that I signed up this year. It's my first time signing up so I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure that will pass. *o*

This is my first event in the fandom though, and despite doing things like MSV in other fandoms I'm most excited for this one because Tolkien's works will always have a special place in my heart.

I've done a looooot of these and I still get nervous until I've seen my assignment, lol. I really look forward to seeing what you do with the prompt you get - love the idea of Wolf Luck, you think nicely out of the box!
