The weather's been reasonable this week since the hailstorm last weekend (we don't tend to have much hail down here, that's a Johannesburg thing), but when I woke around 7 this morning and saw the haze I knew summer had arrived. 34C! The dogs and I are trying to find a cool spot, but there isn't one. The cats don't seem to care, but that's cats for you.

Today was the day of the Great Writing Push. Dunno so much about that, my brain is melting. Though mind, isn't the NaNo thing all about bypassing the brain and just letting the words flow? Ha. Flow? Trickle maybe. Ooze sullenly.

I'll be okay so long as the fic doesn't push back and flatten me :| I have no idea what made me think NaNo was a good idea this year.

We had our first big frost of the year a couple of days ago, and the rain has beaten all the leaves off the trees. **sigh** Still beats the heck out of high summer, though. I am definitely an autumn person.

I hope the words speed up for you, darling. You are a brave woman!

OMG it's so cold here... it snowed this morning and it's supposed to get down in the low 20's (Fahrenheit) tonight!

I ate lots of choc-mint ice cream yesterday - it only helped for a little, but at least for that while there was a hint of cool, lol. I'm sorry you're cold, sweetie *hugs*

Wow, I hate sudden temperature changes. I do hope your summer is milder than our was. Heat indexes over 110 F. In Iowa.

The only thing that is flowing are our noses. Words refuse to flow here now that Mr flu has parked its bag and has refused to leave. So no Nanowrimo, no big bang.. Bah!
