Course I do. Windows broke the very fancy Kaspersky antivirus and I forced it to fix itself - even though it fought me all the way.

Ah... that is definately worth a celebration! Good job!! Anti-virus software is a bitch to deal with. We use Kaspersky at work. I don't even touch it. My computer uses Avast. The IS techie guy at work rec'ed it. It's worked okay so far... *crosses fingers*

Antkivirs software thing. For some people, this is a simple chore, for me it was like calculus, just more challenging :D

Oh I used to have Avast and really liked it. Seemed to know what it was doing, and I liked the friendly little voice, too. Now I have The Mighty Kaspersky (relative bought a three user pack, only needed two and offered me the third) and can say with absolutely sincerity that I have no idea what it's doing most of the time and it is singularly the most un-user friendly bit of software I have ever had to live with. But it's supposed to be good and I didn't have to pay for it, so...

Windows damaged my antivirus and even though I'm not much good with tech things, I worked out how to get it to fix itself. Okay, I'll admit it took me over an hour, lol.

Well done! I see from another comment that you have Kaspersky. **head-->hand**

We use the big K at work, which I assume means IT likes it, but they're the only ones. Very, very unfriendly, unless you speak 4 or 5 different computer languages and can do algebraic calculations backward in your head.

I've been on one of their help forums. You need a translator if you go there looking for answers. I'm only tolerating it because it's supposed to be the best. I really miss Avast :(
