Elephants were part of the holograph thing in the closing ceremony, very nicely done indeed.

Well, what I'll do is wait for a month or however long the break is and then start following the European champions league again (don't have satellite so I can't watch UEFA or the Italian league, though at least we get English premiership roundup once a week)

It's like the country has a giant hangover right now *g*, and that sort of exhausted 'thank god we got that right' ' feeling you have after entertaining visitors you really want to make a good impression on. Kicking off our shoes and getting ready to start the usual bickering and in-fighting we're best know for :D

Was really sorry it went that way. I think they saw how Spain managed to keep the ball and more or less shut Germany out of the game, set out to disrupt them and went too far. They'd been playing such enjoyable football up till then, too. Ah well, finals are never as good as what went before - too many nerves.
