It has been raining for two days, and the waves crashing over the promenade are over seven meters high. I think winter came back. Not that I mind winter, but all things in moderation.

We didn't even have a summer, and right now at the end, has been a few days of warm weather. Which is going to last until precisely -- Tuesday. Then it's autumn.
Bum.
I like sun, it cheers me up.
Mind you, I would love to live by the sea, one of my uncles does and it's so every changing, I look at it for hours, literally.

Still in the 80's here, and will be for some time yet - we usually are hottest in September and October, and it's not unusual to have it in the 80's in November.

That sounds scarily intense. Mother Nature not happy. Eeep!

As far as I'm concerned, winter blows, but that's coz I'm coldblooded enough to enjoy living in countries, where the lowest temperature is around 80F.

Have missed you, xx!!

Does that mean the sea could come out? I hope not.

It's been drizzling here for days, almost non stop, and we've had big waves for two days. Maybe it's a widespread thing? A south hemisphere thing at least?

Seven meters high waves? That sounds scary! Take care of yourself, dear!

That does sound exciting, if not particularly pleasant.

You mean that joke about the English summer only lasting three weeks is really an exaggeration? :)

I don't mind winter, but enough's enough, lol. I love the sea too, though it got a bit umannerly over the last few days. Everything's getting back to normal now.

Sounds a bit like our East coast here --- they never really have what I'd call a proper winter. Of course, I'm just jealous, lol - I've forgotten what really warm feels like!

Saudi Arabia would work for you then :| Now I like a nice, level average temperature. And no, Mother Nature has been in a really, really bad mood these past few days.

How's you? How's New York? Missed you too *hugs much*

The sea came up over the road, and finished up in the next street near where I used to live. There are pictures of cars covered with the sand it had churned up. And it smashed the windows of a beach front restaurant. We're used to the occasional high sea, but this was a bit extreme.

I wonder if it is maybe a general weather system affecting us all here in the south? I don't know if Australia had any problems - though they also seem to be having a miserable winter from what I hear.

They got bigger waves up the coast where I used to live - it's been quite a storm.

And thanks, I'm fine. Just cold, lol! *hugs*.

Heh, yes it's been exciting I guess. High seas, howling wind, driving rain, trees falling over... If it's going to happen, this kind of thing is meant to come along in July, not when we're meant to be moving into spring.

Of course, the other side of the country was having clear skies and beautiful weather while this was all going on here, lol.

Oh dear... What is wrong with the weather? I'm relieved you were not close, dear. *hugs*

I don't know about Australia, but winter here has been weird.

More like three days :( It's been the wettest since 1956, and last year was bad too, whether it's global warming or what, I am not sure.

For a good summer the jet stream needs to be north of the UK, allowing the Azores high pressure to push up. This year it's been acting like a snake with it's head cut off, over us, or below us, that allows a relentless march of low pressure systems to come across the Atlantic and also pegs back the temperatures, and that brings unsettled, wet weather. There were big high pressure systems, but they were not able to force their way up. I am fascinated by how the weather works, but pissed off with it that last two years.
My brother was right to move to the Costa Brava XD

Our winter did not go away and it has rained nearly every single day of our summer. Stupid rain!!!

Seven metre high waves! I wish I could see that.

Hugs Binky xxxx

I am...confused, which is nothing new. I am also better than I have been in a while. Overall, this summer has been good for me - for all the introspection, changes, etc.

It only sucks that universe refuses to work on my schedule but alas, hopefully I'll learn that too someday.

New York is having freak weather too. August was almost freezing and that's meant to be our hottest month, but September is getting really hot. Weather is driving me mad, to be honest. I do like stability as well, or at least weather that's normal for the season. At the moment, *nothing* is normal.
